The international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia stands at US$95.4 billion as of 31st March 2017. The level of reserves takes into account the adjustment for foreign exchange changes.

The amount of reserves is enough to finance 8.3 months of retained imports and is 1.1 times the short term external debt of Malaysia.
