Indonesia Trade Surplus at $1.76 Billion in September 2017
Jakarta | 16th October 2017
Indonesia’s trade balance surplus in September 2017 is recorded at $1.76 billion, higher than the surplus in August 2017 $1.72 billion.
” INDONESIA’ Trade Surplus AT $1.76 BILLION “
The increasing surplus is supported by the decreasing deficit of oil and gas trade balance, which is higher than the decreasing surplus of non-oil and gas trade balance. Cumulatively from January to September 2017, trade balance surplus is recorded $10.87 billion, higher than that in the same period last year of $6.41 billion.
Bank Indonesia considers that trade balance performance in September 2017 remains positive in supporting the performance of current transactions. Going forward trade balance performance is predicted to increase in line with the growing global economic growth and high global commodity prices. Such development will in turn support the improving economic growth prospect and performance of current transactions.
