Indonesia Trade Surplus at $0.9 Billion in October 2017
Jakarta | 15th November 2017
Indonesia’s trade balance surplus in October 2017 is recorded at $0.90 billion, lower than the surplus in September 2017 $1.76 billion.
” INDONESIA’ TRADE SURPLUS AT $0.90 BILLION “
The lower monthly surplus is attributable to the decreasing surplus in non-oil and gas trade balance and the increasing deficit in oil and gas trade balance. Cumulatively from January to October 2017, the trade balance surplus is recorded 11.78 billion US dollar, higher than the same period in the previous year of 7.65 billion US dollar.
Bank Indonesia considers that the trade balance performance in October 2017 is positive of supporting the current transaction performance. Going forward, trade balance performance is estimated to improve along with the improving global economic growth and high global commodity prices. Such development will support improvement of economic growth prospect and current transaction performance.
