Indonesia Trade Surplus at $1.09 Billion in March 2018
Jakarta | 16th April 2018
Indonesia’s trade balance in March 2018 records surplus of 1.09 billion US dollar after a deficit of 0.05 billion US dollar in February 2018. The surplus is attributable to the increasing surplus in non-oil and gas trade balance, which exceeds the increase in oil and gas trade balance deficit. With such development, cumulatively from January to March 2018, Indonesia’s trade balance records surplus of 0.28 billion US dollar.
” INDONESIA’ TRADE Surplus AT $1.09 BILLION “
Bank Indonesia considers that trade balance performance in March 2018 remains positive to support current transaction performance. Going forward, Bank Indonesia believes that trade balance performance will improve in line with the continued global economic recovery and high global commodity’s prices. Such development will support the improving prospect of domestic economic growth and current transaction performance.
