Hong Kong Official Currency Reserve Assets at $422.1 Billion in November 2017

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today (Thursday) that the official foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong amounted to $422.1 billion as at the end of November 2017 (end-October 2017: $419.2 billion)

Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, the foreign currency reserve assets of Hong Kong at the end of November 2017 amounted to $413.5 billion (end-October 2017: $410.9 billion).
The total foreign currency reserve assets of $422.1 billion represent over seven times the currency in circulation or about 44% of Hong Kong dollar M3.
